Delete your Redress account

This page explains how to request deletion of your Redress account and related data.
How to delete your account
From the app
- Open the Redress app
- Sign in to your account
- Go to Settings
- Select Delete my account
- Read the information shown
- Enter your username to confirm
- Confirm
Deletion is immediate. You are signed out and can no longer sign back in.
By email
If you no longer have access to the app, send your request to support@getredress.com from the email address linked to your account, and include your username.
Your request is processed within a maximum of thirty (30) days.
Prerequisites
Deletion is not possible while any of the following remain
- an ongoing order, as buyer or seller ;
- an offer waiting for a response ;
- a pending withdrawal request ;
- a non-zero wallet balance ;
- an open dispute.
These conditions protect other users and ensure ongoing transactions can finish. If one applies, the app tells you which one and what to do next.
Deleted data
The following are permanently deleted
- your email address and password ;
- your first name, last name, and username ;
- your phone number ;
- your profile photo ;
- your saved delivery addresses ;
- your bank details ;
- your listings and their photos ;
- your favorites, follows, and notifications ;
- your device notification identifier.
Retained data
Some data is kept in anonymized form, meaning you can no longer be identified:

In these records, your name is replaced with "Deleted account".
Permanent deletion
Deletion is irreversible. A deleted account and its associated data cannot be recovered.
You may create a new account with the same email address, but it will be completely blank: your history, reviews, and reputation will not be restored.
Delete some of your data
You do not have to delete your account to remove some data. From the app, you can at any time:
- delete your listings ;
- remove your profile photo ;
- delete your delivery addresses ;
- delete your bank details ;
- clear your notifications ;
- turn off push notifications.
