Terms of use

Last updated: August 25, 2026

These Terms of Use govern access to and use of the Redress platform, available via the mobile app and getredress.com. Using the Platform means you fully accept these Terms.

Article 1Purpose

These Terms govern access to and use of the Redress platform (mobile app and getredress.com).

Redress is an online marketplace where individuals can sell and buy second-hand items, mainly fashion clothing and accessories.

Anyone who does not accept these Terms must stop using the Platform.

Article 2Definitions

Platform the Redress mobile application and related services.

User any natural person with an account on the Platform.

Seller a User who publishes a listing to sell an item.

Buyer a User who orders an item published by a Seller.

Listing the publication describing an item offered for sale.

Order the contractual commitment formed between a Buyer and a Seller after a purchase.

Secured payment the mechanism by which Redress holds funds paid by the Buyer until confirmed receipt of the item.

Wallet the monetary balance held by a User on the Platform.

Article 3Role of Redress

Redress acts solely as a technical intermediary between Buyers and Sellers.

Redress is neither seller, buyer, nor owner of listed items. Redress does not form the sale contract, which is concluded directly between Buyer and Seller.

Redress provides

  • a space to publish and search listings ;
  • messaging between Users ;
  • a secured payment mechanism for online transactions ;
  • connection with a carrier for delivery ;
  • a dispute handling service.

Redress does not guarantee the accuracy of Seller descriptions, the actual condition of items, or the outcome of a transaction between Users.

Article 4Registration and account

4.1 Access conditions

Registration is limited to natural persons aged at least eighteen (18) with legal capacity to contract.

Browsing the catalogue is possible without an account. An account is required to buy, sell, message, or interact with other Users.

4.2 Information provided

The User agrees to provide accurate, complete, and up-to-date information, including username, wilaya, and phone number, and to keep them updated. Usernames are unique on the Platform.

4.3 Account uniqueness and security

Each User may hold only one account. Creating multiple accounts, including to bypass a sanction or avoid negative reviews, is prohibited.

The User alone is responsible for keeping credentials confidential and for all activity on their account.

4.4 Email verification

Email confirmation is required to withdraw funds. It is not required to buy, sell, or use other features.

Article 5Publishing listings

5.1 General conditions

The Seller warrants they are the legitimate owner of the item and have the right to sell it.

A listing must include

  • a descriptive title ;
  • an honest description of the item and its condition ;
  • at least one real photo of the item, taken by the Seller ;
  • a price in Algerian dinars ;
  • at least one delivery or handover method.

5.2 Honest description

The Seller agrees to describe the item accurately, including defects, wear, stains, alterations, or repairs. Photos must show the actual item offered, not a catalogue or third-party image.

5.3 Prohibited items

In particular, the following may not be listed

  • counterfeits and items infringing intellectual property ;
  • items whose sale is regulated or prohibited under Algerian law ;
  • worn underwear and swimwear, for hygiene reasons ;
  • opened or used cosmetics ;
  • weapons, dangerous substances, medicines, food products ;
  • live animals ;
  • intangible goods, services, or content without a physical medium ;
  • any item whose description or images include unlawful, violent, hateful, or sexual content.

5.4 Moderation

Redress may hide, edit, or delete any listing that does not comply with these Terms, without notice or compensation.

A listing may be hidden for reasons including Seller holiday mode, an incomplete listing needing correction, or a moderation decision. The reason is shown to the Seller in their personal space.

Article 6Offers

A Buyer may propose a price lower than the listed price.

An offer is valid for twenty-four (24) hours. After that, it expires automatically and can no longer be accepted.

The Seller may accept, refuse, or make a counter-offer. Accepting an offer binds both parties to the agreed price, subject to completing the order.

An accepted offer is not an order. The Buyer must complete the purchase for the transaction to be concluded.

Article 7Order and payment

7.1 Formation of the order

The order is formed when the Buyer confirms the purchase and, where applicable, pays.

At checkout, the item is temporarily reserved to avoid simultaneous purchases. The reservation expires automatically if payment is not completed.

7.2 Payment methods

Secured payment

  • Redress Wallet: pay with the Buyer's available balance ;
  • CIB or Edahabia card: card payment processed by Chargily.

Unsecured payment

  • Cash on delivery: the Buyer pays the courier on receipt ;
  • In-person payment: the Buyer pays the Seller at handover.

Available methods for a given item are those selected by the Seller when publishing.

Redress does not collect, store, or process bank card data. Card payments are fully handled by Chargily.

7.3 Caps

Redress may set amount caps for certain payment methods. Caps are shown to the User at payment time.

Article 8Secured payment and release of funds

8.1 Principle

For orders paid by wallet or card, funds paid by the Buyer are held by Redress and are not transferred to the Seller at the time of payment.

8.2 Release

Funds are credited to the Seller's wallet after the Buyer confirms receipt of the item, with no commission deducted (0% rate under Article 12).

For in-person handover, confirmation is done when the Seller enters a code given to the Buyer at handover.

8.3 Automatic confirmation

If the Buyer neither confirms nor opens a dispute within the period shown on the order, Redress may automatically release funds to the Seller.

8.4 No protection on unsecured payments

Orders paid in cash, on delivery, or in person have no escrow. Redress is not involved in those money flows and cannot issue a refund.

Article 9Delivery

9.1 Carrier

When the sale lets the Seller choose the carrier, the Seller selects the carrier and must tell the Buyer which one it is.

When delivery is handled via Redress Delivery, it is carried out by our partner Yalidine across the wilayas covered by its network, to home or a pickup point.

9.2 Seller obligations

The Seller agrees to ship the item within five (5) business days, in suitable packaging, and to provide tracking information.

If the item is not shipped within five (5) business days, the order may be cancelled automatically and the Buyer fully refunded.

9.3 Delivery fees

Delivery fees are calculated from the destination wilaya and shown before order confirmation. They are paid by the party designated in the listing.

9.4 In-person handover

When offered, meeting details are agreed between the parties via Platform messaging.

Redress recommends a public, busy place and checking the item before any payment. Redress is not a party to the meeting and accepts no liability for how it goes.

9.5 Returns

Items shipped via Redress Delivery cannot be returned.

When the Seller handles shipping themselves, any return option must be agreed directly between the Buyer and the Seller.

Article 10Disputes between Users

10.1 Opening a dispute

Buyer or Seller may open a dispute from the order details once the item has been shipped or handed over.

Before shipping, the right path is order cancellation, not a dispute.

The dispute must state the facts and may include photos.

10.2 Effects

When a dispute is opened on a secured-payment order, funds stay blocked until resolution. The Seller is not credited during that time.

10.3 Handling

Redress reviews both parties' materials and decides release funds to the Seller, refund the Buyer, or another appropriate solution.

Redress aims to respond within forty-eight (48) business hours from opening the dispute.

Redress's decision is not judicial arbitration and does not remove either party's right to go to court.

Article 11Cancellation and refund

An order may be cancelled

  • by the Buyer, until the Seller accepts it ;
  • by the Seller, until the item is shipped ;
  • automatically, if not shipped within the allowed time ;
  • by Redress, for breach of these Terms.

If a secured-payment order is cancelled, funds are returned to the Buyer's wallet.

No refund is possible for orders paid in cash, on delivery, or in person.

Article 12Commission

The Redress commission on sales completed with secured payment is 0%.

The amount credited to the Seller equals the sale amount. This rate may change; if so, Users will be informed. The rate that applies is the one in force when the listing was published.

Article 13Wallet and withdrawals

13.1 Nature of the wallet

The Redress wallet is an internal Platform balance, funded by completed sales and refunds received. It is not a bank account or a payment instrument under banking rules, and it earns no interest.

13.2 Use

The balance may be used to pay for a purchase on the Platform or withdrawn on request.

13.3 Withdrawals

A withdrawal request requires

  • a confirmed email address ;
  • a minimum amount of 1,000 DA ;
  • valid bank details on file ;
  • only one pending withdrawal at a time.

The requested amount is held as soon as the request is made and is no longer available for purchases.

Redress processes requests as soon as reasonably possible. If rejected, the amount returns to the available balance and the reason is shared.

13.4 Accuracy of bank details

The User alone is responsible for the accuracy of bank details provided. Redress is not liable for a transfer sent to a wrong account because of inaccurate information.

Article 14Reviews

After a transaction, each party may rate the other.

Reviews must be honest and related to the transaction. Insulting, defamatory, or discriminatory language, and clearly abusive reviews meant to harm, are prohibited.

Received reviews are kept and remain visible, including after account deletion, in anonymised form. They help build trust for all Users.

Redress may remove a review that breaches these Terms.

Article 15Messaging

Messaging is for exchanges related to a transaction or an item.

The following are prohibited

  • asking to deal off-Platform to bypass secured payment ;
  • sharing personal contact details for that purpose ;
  • harassment, insulting, discriminatory, or threatening language ;
  • unsolicited commercial or advertising messages ;
  • unlawful or sexual content.

Redress reminds Users that off-Platform deals have no protection, and Redress cannot help if something goes wrong.

Redress may review a conversation when handling a report or dispute.

Article 16Reporting and blocking

Any User may report a listing, profile, or message they believe breaches these Terms.

Any User may block another User, which stops all exchange between them.

Redress reviews reports and takes appropriate measures when needed.

Article 17Breaches and sanctions

For breach of these Terms, Redress may, depending on severity and without notice:

  • hide or delete a listing ;
  • restrict access to some features ;
  • temporarily suspend the account ;
  • permanently close the account.

On suspension or termination, open orders are handled through to completion and any available balance remains withdrawable, subject to amounts held for an open dispute or proven fraud.

Article 18Holiday mode

A Seller may turn on holiday mode to temporarily hide all their listings.

Open orders remain manageable and conversations stay available. Turning holiday mode off restores visibility of listings hidden for that reason.

Article 19Account deletion

The User may delete their account at any time from app settings.

Deletion is not possible while any of the following remain

  • an open order as buyer or seller ;
  • a pending offer ;
  • an unprocessed withdrawal request ;
  • a non-zero wallet balance ;
  • an open dispute.

Deletion is final and irreversible. It deletes the User's personal data and their listings.

Kept in anonymised form order history, conversations, and reviews, to protect other Users' rights and meet legal retention duties.

Article 20Liability

20.1 User liability

Each User alone is responsible for content they publish, items they offer, performing their commitments, and complying with applicable rules, including tax rules.

20.2 Redress liability

Redress has a best-efforts obligation regarding Platform operation.

Redress is not liable for

  • quality, authenticity, conformity, or legality of listed items ;
  • delays, loss, or damage attributable to the carrier ;
  • how an in-person handover goes ;
  • transactions concluded off-Platform ;
  • service interruptions due to maintenance, a technical incident, or force majeure ;
  • acts of a third-party provider, including the payment provider.

Article 21Intellectual property

The Redress trademark, logo, visual identity, texts, architecture, and Platform code are the exclusive property of Redress and are protected.

Any unauthorised reproduction or use is prohibited.

By publishing a listing, the User grants Redress a free, non-exclusive licence to use the published photos and descriptions solely to display them on the Platform and promote the service. This licence ends when the listing is deleted, subject to content tied to an archived order.

Article 22Personal data

Personal data processing is described in the Privacy Policy, available in the app and on getredress.com.

The User has rights of access, correction, and deletion of their data, exercisable from the app or by writing to support@getredress.com.

Article 23Changes to these Terms

Redress may change these Terms at any time.

Users are informed of material changes by in-app notification. Continued use of the Platform after that notice means acceptance of the new Terms.

Open orders remain governed by the Terms in force when they were formed.

Article 24Governing law and disputes

These Terms are governed by Algerian law.

If a dispute arises between a User and Redress, the parties will try to resolve it amicably. Failing that, the dispute will be brought before the competent Algerian courts.
